A Blog Party!?
I've only been blogging for about a month now, and it's opened a whole new world to me. My husband was the first person I knew to have a blog and I thought him such a GEEK for it! haha Now HE'S the one calling ME the geek!
We live in a town south of Birmingham, Al. The first time we drove through here we commented on how lovely a town it was, and how it would be a nice place to live. Then about a year later we moved here! And just to prove how nice a place it is, a year or two ago it was voted as one of the 100 best places to live in the US. (Well, there goes the neighborhood!)
I'm afraid i'm not very well organized with my blog. I just add things as they come to me. The other bloggers are such an inspiration to me. I hope what I have here is worth the time to read. It certainly has been fun putting together.
Thanks for visiting!!
Welcome to the big wide world of BLOGGING! It's so fun. So glad you could join us in the party this year!
ReplyDeleteJust a note: A lot of people have trouble reading the white font on the black background, unless the white is bold or very distinct in another way. However, if you love your blog, just the way it is, please don't change it just cuz I said something. :) I wouldn't want you to do that. I just wanted to pass on a tip.
ReplyDeleteSo brave to jump into the party so soon! I've had a blog for 6 years and this is my first one. Hope you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteI think you're brave, too! Great job so far- good luck! Your children are precious!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed getting to know you through your post! You have beautiful children :-) I also have a business blog with my mom: http://speakablegifts.com/blog1/
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week of blog partying!
I'm glad I joined in the party this year. It's good to meet you. I've been blogging for a few years, but this is my first time at the UBP. I read your recent post about memorizing scripture. Back in January I had a desire to start spending more time memorizing because of a radio program Nancy Leigh DeMoss was doing on it. I have found that the scriptures I've memorized do come to me at moments I need them. I need to keep developing this discipline in my life.
ReplyDeleteGood to meet you through UBP! I enjoyed getting to know you and will follow you now... I think we have a lot in common!
ReplyDeleteLiz, that's how I got the book! I heard the same broadcast! I love Nancy! Did you see the True Woman Manifesto??
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet blog. I really enjoyed The Power of a Praying Wife, too. So much wisdom in those pages:)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty blog - I love the layout you've chosen! Enjoy the Blog Party!
ReplyDeleteI am also new to blogging so this is an entirely new experience for me :)

Welcome to the party! I've just started blogging in January (other than one for family out-of-state), and I'm loving all the like-minded women I've met so far, too. Isn't it great?

Hi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right(your about section) that the blessings of being a homemaker far outweigh the benefits of just being rich financially.
Nice to meet you at the party. I'm in my late thirties too - 37 to be exact. Happy partying!
