Clergy Appreciation Month

October is Clergy (or Pastor) Appreciation Month. If you haven't heard about it before, don't worry, I haven't known about it for long, either! There seems to be some confusion as to when it started, what it means, and how long it lasts, whether it's for a month, or a week, or just something the church does on a particular Sunday. I don't know what the 'official' story is, but I do know two things - First, our leaders in the church spend their lives sacrificing for others, and Two, it's our duty to encourage them. Whether it's October or January, any time is a good time to give someone a pat on the back and tell them what they mean to you, especially if you consider the members of your church to be your extended family, like I do.

I Samuel 23:16: "And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God".

Thank you to all those who serve us in the faith. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed and is appreciated more than you could ever know.

Fight the good fight!
